Food halls opening up in several Orlando neighborhoods

ORLANDO, Fla. – Food halls are not new but they are a growing trend in Central Florida’s dining scene.

Orlando already has East End Market, but soon at least three more food halls will be opening their doors across the City Beautiful. Milkhouse is coming to the Milk District, Bumby Arcade and South Orange Provisions are setting up shop downtown and The Hall On The Yard is opening up in Ivanhoe Village.

Each location is promising multiple dining and beverage options for people to enjoy.

Avon academy summer program students focus on STEM courses

AVON, Conn. (WTNH) — As we transition out of this pandemic academic year, the summer programs across the state are getting back to normal.

This week we bring you to the Talcott Mountain Science Center and Academy. Their summer program is completely focused on STEM courses and runs for eight weeks into the month of August.   

“We try to keep things as normal as possible during an abnormal time,” Dean Lydia Gibb told News 8.

Exotic Wild Cat Escapes Petting Zoo With Help From Potbelly Pig

This big cat is not the only mischievous animal cared for at a North Carolina petting zoo.

An African cat managed to sneak out of an exotic animal exhibit earlier this week and was caught in a viral video roaming a nearby stretch of highway after a potbelly pig aided in his escape.

According to a report form WRAL, an African serval escaped from its petting zoo enclosure in Edgecombe County, North Carolina, on Tuesday.
