Granite City man charged with abusing small dog


ALTON — Police are seeking a Granite City man in connection with the abuse of a small dog.

The Madison County State’s Attorney’s office on Monday filed aggravated cruelty to animals charges against Lance L. Small, 39, of Granite City.

Arrest made in dog burning case in Magna

MAGNA, Utah — A man has been arrested after police say he lit a dog on fire near Interstate 80 in Magna Monday evening.

Michael Busico, 40, was booked into the Toeele County jail on multiple charges.

According to Unified Police, a female red tick heeler was lit on fire and set loose along the North Frontage Road of I-80. A witness saw the suspect lighting the dog on fire and called the police.

Within about 30 minutes of the call, police and animal control officers found the dog by driving slowly along the frontage road and using a searchlight.

San Antonio man offering 10k reward for missing service dog

Money is no object for a local man who is doing everything he can to find his beloved dog.

Nearly four months ago (on Nov. 18), Roi Biton let his dogs, Golani and Rona, out to play on a vacant commercial property he was looking to buy near Jones Maltsberger and U.S. Highway 281.

While playing, the dogs found a critter and chased it, but Golani ran after it farther than he was supposed to. Golani, whose fifth birthday is today, ended up running across a canal and into the parking lot nearby at Security Service Bank.

Lady Gaga’s dog walker speaks out after Hollywood shooting

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Lady Gaga’s dog walker, who was shot last week during a robbery in Hollywood when two of the singer’s French bulldogs were stolen, described the violence and his recovery “from a very close call with death” in social media posts Monday.

Ryan Fischer’s posts included pictures taken from his hospital bed, where he says “(a) lot of healing still needs to happen” but he looks forward to reuniting with the dogs.

Fischer was shot once as he walked three of Lady Gaga’s dogs on Wednesday night on a street just off the famed Sunset Boulevard. Video
