Conservative Watchdog Sues Secret Service Over White House Dog-Biting Incident

Judicial Watch announced on Tuesday that it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) after government agency allegedly failed to process the records of regarding the White House dog-biting incident in a timely manner.

The lawsuit seeks “all records of communication between USSS officials responsible for protection at the White House regarding the Biden family dogs, named Champ and Major.”

Texas House approves bill banning sale of animals from puppy mills

In promising news for animals, the Texas House of Representatives approved a bill that would make it illegal in the state of Texas for pet stores to sell animals from puppy mills.

Similar bans have already been enacted by more than 370 localities and three states; that includes six municipalities in Texas: Austin, San Antonio, Fort Worth, The Colony, El Paso, and Waco. This would make it state-wide.

Redding woman charged with 65 counts of cruelty to animals, house condemned

A Redding woman has been charged with 65 counts of cruelty to animals – one for each goat that was seized from her property last month.

Nancy Burton, 71, turned herself into police April 16 and was released on a $50,000 non-surety bond. She is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court Thursday for arraignment.
